Once I knocked up the tools it was easy, I got one of the guys at work to machine me a brass dowel of the correct dimensions to fit down the bore of the flash hider and made a piece of steel to sit behind it on the barrel and used a two-legged puller to draw it off.Once I got some tension on it a light tap from behind with a block of wood and a plastic hammer broke it free and it came off as smooth as silk.I had to open up the bore of the new flash hider by a few thou to get the correct fit and I had to make one new retaining pin as one of the ones I removed from the originally flash hider was a couple of thou too small to get a tight fit.To be honest I could have done it quicker but I took my time to make sure everything was spot on.I also checked the crown whilst it was off and it was perfect so just gave it a wipe and just cleaned up the end of the barrel so the new flash hider went on easily. Also made a little jig from a piece of hard nylon for the flash hider to sit in when removing and installing the retaining pins.

Good job! I always like to read about people doing their own work and it is seldom anything to worry abut if you think it through first :)

Thank you :good:

I thought it through a dozen times in my head before starting to make sure it went smoothly.
