I have decided its time to replace my shooting jacket. I have had my current one for more years than I care to remember. I have had the zip replaced. (free of charge I may add from the manufacturer.) Unfortunately the zip has gone again and to be honest it does not really fit me any more I have gained a bit of weight since buying it and I am certainly not a large coat size any more.
My current jacket is a Musto whisper waterproof shooting jacket the same jacket now is £450. I don't really want to pay £450 if I can help it.
So what are you guys wearing any recommendations.

The jacket is more for weather protection the bulk of my shooting is done on military ranges from 100 yards to 600 yards.

The best jacket I own is a clarty old falklands parka. It’s brilliant! Made of a really heavy weave cotton fabric that’s thicker than a sail; making it totally wind proof and ultra hard wearing. 4 massive pockets that you can get everything in and combined with the liner it’s very very warm. I’ve had mine for over 16 years and have worn it around the world in some of the worst conditions going and it’s still going strong! Get one and you’ll never need another jacket again(well unless you need to look like anything other than a tramp).

Nice except its camo not appreciated on the firing line. Yes I know its silly but rules are rules.

For Parker style coats this really can’t be beaten at the moment. Most Parker’s don’t have breathable waterproof linings.
