I swap around from large to small bags but I am yet to find the 'ideal' range bag so I will watch this thread with interest.

+1 from me.
Mostly gungear padded rifle bags and back packs in various sizes. Not a perfect solution. I've thought about modding a golf trolley, I've looked at tool boxes on wheels and seen people struggle with limited ground clearance and small wheels.

Voodoo Tactical double gun bag plus a rucksack.
Am changing rucksack soon as the one I use is too shallow.

I have a viper tactical bag:

It's a bit on the heavy side before you get anything into it but it's very well made and has adjustable dividers and lots of space. The dividers mean I can keep my spotting scope in the same bag as everything else and not worry about it getting damaged.
I'm very pleased with it although it was a bit pricey.
