Using leather in a suppressor cover.

I have some green leather laying about here and was thinking of experimenting with it.
Have any of you used it in a suppressor cover ? Or seen it used as such ?

Well back in the 90's, a prominent politician did describe anyone who wanted to shoot as "a pervert"
(But bear in mind, it later came out in the press that he got his kicks by wearing a Chelsea football shirt while sha*gging his mistress...)
