I think this may have come up before, but does anyone know if there's a way (s/ware?) to call up a form in .pdf format and type straight into it?

Pete if you come under the MET Police try this
;
https://www.met.police.uk/SysSiteAssets ... m-201v.pdf
you can type directly onto it.

Pete, I've been usung these - or similar - for a while now. I think most forces all use +/- the same forms. Just download 'em, and you can save/edit them to your hearts content.

I can download the form and open it, but I can't type anything into it.................I tried a so-called "free" pdf editor, which has worked, but adds a watermark when I try to save/print it unless I cross their palm with (much) silver...........

It works fine for me. Download and choose 'open', not 'save', and you can then fill the form in (and save results etc). I've been using this for years without a problem.
