I think this may have come up before, but does anyone know if there's a way (s/ware?) to call up a form in .pdf format and type straight into it?

Pete if you come under the MET Police try this

;https://www.met.police.uk/SysSiteAssets ... m-201v.pdf

you can type directly onto it.

Pete, I've been usung these - or similar - for a while now. I think most forces all use +/- the same forms. Just download 'em, and you can save/edit them to your hearts content. ;)

I can download the form and open it, but I can't type anything into it.................I tried a so-called "free" pdf editor, which has worked, but adds a watermark when I try to save/print it unless I cross their palm with (much) silver...........

Just download the proper PDF reader, Adobe Acrobat, https://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/

make sure you untick the optional offers :)

It works fine for me. Download and choose 'open', not 'save', and you can then fill the form in (and save results etc). I've been using this for years without a problem.
