To be fair for a Guardian article not as hysterical as many a report on this matter, curiously NABIS and Continuity ACPO don't get a mention (which is probably why the article isn't as lurid as usual).

Whilst it mentions a rise in gun crime for me it actually shows how successful our restrictions are if the Criminal element are scrabbling around trying to get these cheaply made blank firers. Considering that it is mentioned in the article that a barrel parted company with the gun in one case shows how dangerous to the fool who tries to shoot one these are.
Looks like they are drilling out the barrel on a cheap Chinese eBay lathe then doctoring the 9mm P.A.K. rounds with something like a ball bearing.
Of course May's austerity driven cuts to the Police is probably the main reason for the increase in Gang activity.

Your point froggy?
My point is that the current level of devastating gang activity is the direct result of the liberal policies conducted in this country over the last 40 years.
Instead of having an objective look at the current situation, which would mean admitting its errors, the liberal brigade which now has blood on their hands, is trying to find scapegoats, here the police numbers, and dogmatically carry on with the same madness that put us in the very sh*t we are in today. How convenient to ignore that police numbers have actually grown from a ratio of only 1 cop for every 800 people in the 60's to 1 in every 460 now (!!). Of course it has not grown as fast as the levels of criminals let in or the level of alien population that can reasonably be absorbed without falling into crime, not to mention the ideological perversion of the justice system.
It is very telling that, despite an ever higher level of police per head, the roots of the problems having been seeded much earlier on in France, we are now witnessing there an unbearable explosion of the problems that England will ineluctability soon be facing.
BTW, I live in a "challenged" part of London, Simon Hughes's ex-fief, and have to witness daily the results of his absurd policies & the suffering it created. It gives me absolutely no joy in pointing "I told you so", and the worst is sadly to come.

What would you suggest as a solution Froggy? Solutions have been found in New York which seem to have had positive results.

https://www.london.gov.uk/city-hall-blo ... d-20-years - got to have some impact even if the problems run deeper, policing is probably the only way forward from where we are now.
