Selling to remote RFD

I've used Royal Mail before to sell to another FAC holder by getting the FAC holder to send me their FAC, I fill it out and send back to them. Then post the firearm to their RFD ready for them to collect face to face. Worked well.

However I have an RFD who wants to purchase a firearm from me. I know they can collect from my door via Parcelforce which is the plan - but how do I deal with the transaction/paperwork as I won't have any Table to fill out on the RFD's licence. Pretty sure his intention is to sell it on to another buyer but he has given me no details of the buyer. He's just sourcing from me to resell.

Can I send to the RFD and just declare it as a transfer or disposal to RFD?

Yep, simple as that. If he's established and you know of him, then just ask for his details. If you don't know of him, ask to see a copy of his RFD via email or text and once satisfied, inform the police of the transaction in the normal way.

I've sold to RFDs in the past and posted rifles to them, perfectly normal.

Thanks Simon. Yeah just double checked with my FEO and fine to just check RFD certificate, pickup by parcel force and notify FEO of transfer. No other paperwork needed.

Don't forget to put in for a 1 for 1 variation if you,re not giving up your ticket.
