Could someone who knowstell me if posting just an air rifle barrel requires me to send it Parcel Force Express48?

Or can it go any old courier as it's just a barrel?

They sell barrels and ship them all the time

As it is only an air rifle barrel what makes you think that it is anything more than posting any other steel tube?
After all surely you will describe it as an engineered steel tube if you were to post it so as not to cause alarm and a whole lot of bother in the post office.
