Bored with half my rifles

Cert due for renewal and I have owned the same rifles for years.
Pretty much given up competitive GR shooting.
Just shoot for fun now.
Will probably sell my old 10/22 and get a nice bolt action 22 for mini mcqueens.
Any recommendations for a suitable rifle?
Have an 1894 marlin which I would probably move on - however......
There is a really nice looking customised 38special Marlin on GT that I like the look of.
Maybe a crazy idea but the Ruger96/44 has always appealed - apart from mag capacity.
A brit on youtube had some 10 rounders made - £150 each :o
Given that you can pick the guns up for little money two mag investment for me would be worth it.
I have had several Marlins over the years and I don't think any of them are great accuracy wise.
The other rifle that interests me is some sort of single shot in 357mag or even 357 maximum.
Something that I can fit a scope to and shoot cast out of it. But also able to accurately get out to 300 yds.
Not much choice there apart from a Henry which appear to be imported by Viking.
Oh - and a Westlake pistol !
And a Ruger old army..........

With regards to bolt actioned .22's the CZ 452 or 455 take some beating. There is of course the new Tikka
, not sure what the mag capacity is with those.

I am convinced that for a sporter rifle an old Sako Finnfire is impossible to beat.
As for a single shot 357, a Handi rifle is to be recommended. This can be reamed to .357 max.

Do you know who the importers are?
It looks like NEF is owned by Remington but nothing on their website.
It looks like 360DW brass will fit a 357 mag handi rifle giving extra capacity.

It looks like they stopped making the Handi rifle a few years ago.

Still in production according to H&R.
Raytrade are the importers and waiting to hear back.

Raytrade will certainly supply any spares needed via Remington USA. That is the good news, the bad news is they are a pig to work on and even swapping out a firing pin is entertaining.

Eyeing up a 96/44 myself also - they do seem comparatively cheap, but the reviews vary... Had the bolt version previously which I loved.

Get into the Historic shooting game. Pick an obsolete calibre---the reloading challenge will stop you getting bored. Something like a Mauser 71/84 would be a good start---cases, dies and moulds all readily available,
