one of our members sent me this pic when he visited the museum at Peterhead Prison. It was a record of purchases on 21/2/1924.
Sadly, all were uplifted and destroyed in 1959

Well taking account of inflation the cost of 1000 .303 rds back then was the equivalent of about £411(ish) now, the same amount of PPU .303 from Kranks these days would cost £867.
