Is it wrong of me.....

#1 Post by walesdave »

Just landed a new freelance IT role in Belgium - 6 months part onsite, part home working.

All I could think about....
.....being able to pay the mortgage: Nope
.....being able to feed the wife and kids: Not really
.....being in a role that's fairly 'significant': Not a chance

.....CTM Range at Wavre: daily range membership: club full bore semi-auto rifles and handguns: EFP being valid until the end of 2020: YES! YES! YES!

Bit of IT work and LOADS of bang time!!!! bangbang shakeshout bangbang

Well done on the the new role! And no, it’s not wrong. You’re going to need something to make up for living in Belgium!!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

100metres?? Not worth getting out of bed for...............on the other hand you might get hold of a 9mm Browning, or a Sig, (not a Glock, though)......... :p

What I'm really hoping to get sorted (didn't have time on my last contract there) is a Belgian Sports shooting license and then get a nice little .22RF pistol. The gun shop I use out there normally has a decent second hand selection. Then apply for a Belgian EFP to make travelling in Europe with firearms a bit easier after the end of the 'transition period'.

After that.....chips with mayo and quite a shedload of Belgian beverages cheers

Congratulations - sounds excellent as long as Boris doesn't make you quarantine every time you come home!

There's a lot to be said for Belgian beer, frites, and moules - throw in some range time and getting paid for it all and I'm actually quite jealous! Enjoy!
