Hello
I use the pan lubing method for filling the lubrication grooves on my 45/70 bullets.
I use my own brew of beeswax, alox, Vaseline, and a couple of crayons for colour
My question anybody out there getting results using a difference mix ?

I use a Lyman lubrisizer I buy the sticks of lube for it. If I pan lube I just use liquid alox.

Pan lubing is so tedious!!
I use a mix of beeswax a bit of paraffin a splodge of moly grease and a drop of ATF fluid.
In a RCBS lubrisizer.

I have five lubrisizers, and make my own lube for these...........standard Beeswax/Lithium grease/crayon mix. It works very well.
For heeled/stepped boolits such as CBE Gras, I use the Beeswax/Vegetable fat/rapeseed oil mix. Also works very well although a tablespoon of Lanolin in the mix helps to fill the grooves.

Should have made clear that the stepped boolits are pan lubed.

Pan lubing is so tedious!!
I pan lube my cast bullets with Lee liquid Alox , It takes me about 20 seconds to lube 50 and toss them onto a sheet of grease proof paper to dry.
What's tedious about that?

That's "tumble lubing"........... pan lubing is a different process.

Are you lubing for black powder or smokeless?
