Failure to resolve ...

I have been trying to access the forum through a different link - but it failed with:
Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at full-bore.co.uk
So, I went to:
http://www.mob.net/~ted/tools/dns.php3 and ran it for full-bore.co.uk
Of the US based name-servers 6 from 15 could not resolve the name
Outside the US just 1 of 4 could resolve
That is just a sample but it suggests that we could be missing from a large number of name-servers ...

Most likely those servers do not provide recursive or caching service to queries that originate outside the networks they serve. Testing well known domains using that tool gives similar results.

I've tried bbc.co.uk, cnn.com and sky.com - they all got less success than full-bore.co.uk
Why the need to access via a link? why not just direct?

What address are you using to get here? full-bore.co.uk OR a link which starts
http://109.203.120.4/...

If you can login, but the site is not remembering you - it will either be a cookie issue with your computer - or not ticking the remember me check box!

Or he is clicking on a link with the IP address not the text URL. The cookies are saved under the NAME not IP
