Birthday present.....

My birthday present to myself, a Blaser R93 CISM in 308...............
The cheekpiece was very uncomfortable, so I upholstered it in neoprene rubber/red leather.
I also have the official factory adjustment procedure for the two-stage match trigger that's fitted, so if there are any others out there, pm me for a copy.
Incidentally, I didn't have to take out a second mortgage for it, despite it being unfired. The LRS was discontinued a few years ago and replaced by the LRS2.
It's heavier than the LRS2, and has ten round mags.
It was originally available in two calibres, 243 and 308, and three versions, 300m UIT single shot, came with Hammerli aperture rearsight mounted on a bracket which could be bolted on to either side of the stock using the three threaded holes shown in the photo There was also a barrel extension (the muzzle is threaded ) to increase the sight base.
CISM, which is some american military competition, and a tactical.
All the current barrels/bolt heads will fit, but only 243 and 308 factory rounds can use the mags. However, there's enough meat in there to mill a millimetre or two off the plastic insert to allow the mags to take SMK 2156's............
It shoots well, making 1000yds on Stickledown last week with HPS "Economy" 308 ammunition.................after half an hour on the zero range plus a couple of sighters, all through the black, although the marker did say a few went through the target sideways.............
Scope is a Falcon 4-14x44 FFP which is...................adequate, although I'm looking for something MOA and better quality.
