Bisley was built in 1889, and the NRA was formed to support the Volunteers against the French. So anything as French as a metre will be out of order.
Bisley ranges are all in yards except Short Siberia 100 (metres), Running Deer 100 (metres), Running Boar 50 (metres), Running Boar 10 (metres) and Century 300 electronic (metres) and the Zero Range (71 ft 7 inches).

Well thats just cleared something up in my mind - I've been having problems trying to get my theoretical drop chart for my .22 to relate to what is actually happening in the real world. I was concerned that my rangefinder was giving false reading so last time I was at Short Siberia
I scoped the targets from the benches and it read 110 yds that confirmed that my range finder was US - HoHum - Lucky I didn't chuck it in the bin.
Does that follow that the 200 yd points at Short Siberia are really 220yds and how does that effect benchrest groups, does a .21 group shot on the 110yds range really equal a .95 group shot on any other 100 yd range?

From memory Short Siberia front of benches to the targets is actually 114 yards....

Do not throw your range finder, it is correct
the 200 meter point is 200 meters but for whatever reason the 100 is not.
How much this throws out the ballistic calculators when you input your zero as 100 yards I do not know.
