A big for Hilton Shooting Services. After a pleasant chat and having all my questions answered, I parted with £75 (including RFD transfer) for a Marlin 989 M2* (M1 Carbine lookalike) with original Weaver V22-A 3-6x scope! :shakeshout:

Quite chuffed with it. Not sure about magazine but otherwise it seems in original condition and in fairly good nick - even has the detachable rear sight which seems to be very rare occurrence.

According to the serial number it was made in 1977, so only a little younger than me! :lol:
