Will anyone be there tomorrow? I'll be helping out at the LERA stand from about 12:00. Come over and say hi - I'll be wearing a black t-shirt with an orange logo on the front and back and fancy Sordin electronic ear defenders!

Sorry Dr. Strangelove, we were on Short Siberia with our club but I've only just seen your post. Would have come and found you otherwise.
Bumped into Heather though with her zeroers elbow.

wtfwtf long long day
RCO briefing 08:00 - pack and prep
Shooters on the hooter pretty much non-stop from 8:30 to 16:30
Had 2 p*** breaks - one 10.30 one 14:30 - like dash - pee- dash!!!
Drank plenty of water got a lunch from NRA - Ate lunch on the gun so to say tesnews
By and large all shooters were decent, well mannered - actually did not have 1 that I felt was unsafe or unpleasant
Reckon I did about 30 shooters!
The f-class slot was busy 100% the whole time!
Good day - good turnout!
Was fun - still struggling to get used to dialiing a 1/4 scope after playing with 1/8 for nearly 1 year now!

Went down to the NRA Open day with my brother-in-law and his fiancee and had a fantastic time. Really enjoyed all of the shooting. Funniest image, my brother-in-law (bearded, deer-hunting, outdoorsy Kiwi) shooting a Ruger 10/22 with bright pink furniture. Most interesting and fun stand was definitely the muzzle-loading shotgun; the guy who looked after us talked us through it all, show us how and then let us load his (modern) double-barrel shotgun before we got to shoot some clays with it. Great fun.
Serious kudos to all those who vounteered to make it such a great day.
Cheers,
Gaz
