Just a quick thank you to the NRASC (Heather/Neal P especially) and everyone involved in yesterdays open day.

It did get busy but was really well organised and everyone got a decent amount of range time in. Both of my guests had a thoroughly good time and one of them took away a probationary membership form.

Thank you.

(Didn't get the opportunity to look at the Mini 14 unfortunately.)

I wasn't able to go, the guest I was going to take turned out to be stuck doing something else but I'm glad it went well. I enjoyed the one in January. The email from Heather said they would be doing another one in the new year so maybe I can get to that.

I think the NRASC should be doing as many guest days as possible (I think clubs are allowed six a year?) since there are a lot of new shooters with friends or family who are curious about what's involved, plus it's good fun to show people something new and it has to be good for new memberships.

I hope they do run some more Open Days, my nephew seems quite keen on trying his hand after being allowed to use an SA-80 with university cadets.

HO approved clubs are allowed to have 12 guest days a year. But how many clubs never have any? & then we wonder why some disiplines of the sport are in decline?
