wet stone

#1 Post by wildrover77 »

I need to hone the trigger on my Ruger 96 lever action. It is a simple task, I have step by step instructions on how to do it safely.

However I dont know what tool to use. Where can I get a small wet stone that is going to do the job?

Of course, to sharpen a cutter, you could use a whetstone instead...

You need a slipstone. Get one advertised for use with sharpening carving gouges. They're available in cone and wedge shapes.

Axeminster tools should have them.

I should have a few here you can use if you get stuck, just let me know and I can pop them in the post. (I will need them back at some point)
