Count yourselves lucky you don't live in an OT!
I've seen some of the gripes (mostly legitimate!) regarding your FAC's and relationships with your respective Police Services, take a look at the latest from the brain trust here in Bermuda....this is the actual 'document' given to me when the officer arrived and completed my yearly inspection, I sh%t you not.
BTW, this is after an increase of fee's of 893% over from 2011 to 2012 and in 2013 they will want a fee for each firearm (hence the individual licenses) that will also be 'log books' to verify how many rounds fired per firearm per year. Can you imagine before leaving the firing point at Bisley asking the RCO to sign off that you fired 50 rnds?
Sorry just had to vent!

Looks like a firearm thief's dream if you ask me - of course they'll never get hold of that information....
....will they?

Gawd, that is awful. Any idea why those new rules have been introduced?

I wont be complaining about our system anymore

That's terrible, I'm surprised they haven't told you to paint your house red and with a big white X painted on the roof so that they can locate you a bit easier.
Sounds like they are only one step away from you having to store everything at the police station and have you sign everything in and out including empty cartridge casings.

Lets see, we've had members apply up to 3 times within a year as their documentation could "not be found anywhere".

We are having a problem with "illegal" firearms combined with a Police Service who just don't understand why anyone would want a firearm and therefore want to make us all go away.

Just read the renewal form, has anyone contested this decision yet and if so what is the feedback from the police? Is this being driven by the governor or through parliament or a whim of the local police force?

What is an "arial" plot map?
Sgt Samaroo needs to go back to school before being allowed near the computer again.

Careful now/that sort of thing

Whim of local police force with full support of the Governor. There just isn't an intelligent dialogue regarding firearms locally (which I accept as my fault as a Club member) heck I'd wager 90% of our coppers don't know that legal firearms holders exist. Sgt. Samaroo didn't before April of this year when he was transferred to Firearms Licensing :goodjob:
