Re: CMP sales
The only reason we still have it is because the anti American liberals havent heard of it.
the CMP does not advertise very much for a reason.

Re: CMP sales
What could the Army sell?....all the SLR's were sold or melted down as I recall and who would want an L85a1 or a2 after all the problems with them...let alone the lack of spare parts due to RSAF Enfield being closed. The Army would no doubt wish to buy firearms from FAC holders  Lee Enfields served Two World Wars and pack a mean punch
Many a soldier would want a gun like that

Re: CMP sales
UK MoD has had the opposite policy for years - any section 1 weapon suitable for civilian use has been deliberately cut up instead. IIRC there are still a few L42s thought to be in the system somewhere (numbers previously recorded as sold or destroyed are about 80 short of the known total production), quite a few No4s were recently destroyed, all of the various depots collections have been destroyed, and the surviving cadet No8s will be scrapped instead of being sold.
