Scope recommendations

#1 Post by hobbesy »

I recently bought a Ruger M77 in .308, a mate has kindly leant me a Bushmaster 4x32 until I can afford something else. I'm after shooting out to 200/300 on the range but would also like to go to 600 and beyond if I get the chance, I will also be shooting 'falling plate' which has various distances one after the other.

I would like something like mil dot so I can adjust hight or have a range dial on the side, I also like the turret type of zeroing knob. I would like to spend under £200 on it new or second hand (less money the better).

So what make and model should I be looking for?

Cheers Rob

Check out Fox Firearms own brand scopes. Just over £100 and will leave you money for rings etc. not sure what reticles they are a available in. See very few going 2nd hand so assuming they do the job.

The MTC Viper might also fit the bill.

Check out the mtc taipan too they can be had at a reasonable price second hand. I own both the fox and mtc and I must say I prefer the mtc but then it does cost twice as much.
