gsg-5 or SGC lever release??

#1 Post by joe »

I've got a gsg-5 i thinking of selling it for 9mm lever release, (however the gsg-5 is an mp5 clone which i like very much) i'm fed with having to replace the cheap mags for it every so often!
what do you lot think? how good are these lever release rifles? if you get the 12inch barrel version can you still have a retractable stock?

cheers

...and we're off, AGAIN

Have you had a look on the forum at the older posts regarding the SGC 9mm lever release guns?

Quite a lot of information there for your perusal...

UK law for rifles is that the minimum barrel length is 12" & also there is a minimum overall length of 24"

Joe

I have a 9mm and would suggest that if you are thinking of spending that kind of money you look at the Lantac raven or similar. Ammunition is a lot cheaper and easier to find, and you will find few poor reviews.

I own both and would have to say its a bit of an apples and oranges comparison really. I would do a LOT of research before shelling out that kind of money.

As above, I'd get rid of the GSG.

Then I'd do your research on the 9mm. Many work well after a few minor mods and I believe the reliability of very recent Glock mag versions has improved. They have also failed catastrophically and there is a wealth of info on this forum about that. However, they are a great idea. If you decide against a 9mm then a 22 AR from Lantac, NWCP or Bradley Arms should serve you very well.

does the new ones with glock mags still can take the uzi mags? cosidering those lever action rifles are near £800 £1500 for sgc 9mm carbine is expensive but not hugly!
whats you opinion on why I should sell the gsg-5?
