Sporting Shoot and Prize Draw in aid of H4H
Monmouth & District rifle club will be holding a sporting rifle shoot on it’s indoor tunnel range on Sunday 7th July in aid of the Help for Heroes charity. The re-entry shoot all takes place at 100 yards and there are classes for rimfire, small deer/varmint calibres and deer calibre rifles. Shooting is from various shooting positions that a sporting rifle shooter may be required to adopt in the field. If you would like further information on this shoot please email the organisers at MonmouthSD@gmail.com
The club will also be holding a prize draw the first prize of which is a new Browning X-Bolt rifle donated by BASC along with a sound moderator and sling. There are also a number of other excellent sporting prizes and equipment such as a bespoke cartridge belt made by Saddler off this site. In total the prize list runs to the value of several thousand pounds all donated freely by genuine shooters and shooting organisations. Tickets only cost £1 each and can be bought at the phoenix meeting this weekend or possibly at one or two forthcoming game fairs in June, these have yet to be confirmed. Alternatively you can purchase tickets online by making a donation at
www.bmycharity.com/MonmouthSDRifleShoot and then confirming your donation and address at MonmouthSD@gmail.com
If you make your entries online the monies donated go direct into the H4H account and the charity can claim gift aid. Also bmycharity is part of the H4H organisation so no commission fees are taken out of your donation such as when other online charity giving systems are involved.
As if this is not enough the officers mess at Hereford (22 SAS Regiment) have donated a bottle of port to be auctioned in aid of the charity. The bottle clearly states where it has come from and these bottles are not given away very often. To date the bidding has reached £200. If you would like to make a bid on this bottle email your bid to MonmouthSD@gmail.com stating your bid and your contact details.

It was a belt AND a cartsidge slider from me, though if the winner wanted a cartridge belt then that'd be a possibility...

Been at the phoenix over the weekend selling tickets for the Monmouth R.C. prize draw in aid of H4H. It was a pleasure to have met ovenpaa, Christal and Dougan who popped in yesterday to say helo.
We received notification of a number of donations but no emails to inform of the contact details of the person who made the donation. The bmycharity system doesn't share that information with us. So if you have made a donation in the last few days please can you drop us a quick email at MonmouthSD@gmail.com with your contact details.

Re: Sporting Shoot and Prize Draw in aid of H4H
Just to give you all an update on the shoot and prize draw.
The draw was held at Monmouth rifle club on Sunday the 7th of July by Dianna McCrae the county organiser for H4H. The prize winners have been contacted and informed. Several of the prize winners bought their tickets at the Phoenix meeting including the winner of the Browning X-bolt rifle.
In total the sum raised by this event will exceed £3,500 when all monies are collected in and the only costs that have been involved are the printing of the tickets and the licence fee to the local authority. All the prizes were donated willingly and freely by shooters and shooting organisations. I would like to convey my thanks to all that have contributed to this year's event in one way or another.
