BT08QK monopod

#1 Post by Yogi GunKanobee »

Has anyone fitted a BT08QK monopod to one of the newer AICS stocks?

It seems now you need to use an adapter kit that requires cutting into the stock, and I’m not too sure about that!

Try one of these from ctk precision who are happy to ship from USA.
They fit old and new types of aics, bit of cutting of plastic & one bolt hole easy job.

As my .308 is still at Dolphin, I sent the bits to Mik and he is going to fit it for me. I think he will make a much better job of it than I would. I may think about one of the CTK monopds for my .223 though. It would certainly work out a lot cheaper!

The thing about the Accu-Shot monopods though, is that they can be used more like this -

I'll have to see how it works out.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, what determines if an AICS stock is new or old spec? I'm looking for a monopod for mine but not sure which it is.

TIA

Sporting Services do them for the not so old stock, if you're not sure stick a picture of your stock on here as the monopod I have and used to use on my old stock doesn't transfer over if you change your stock sides to the newer version or the pistol grip sides that I use now (mine now is the proud owner of one of the shooting shed bag riders and very nice it is too :good: )
