Re: Accuracy International AW
My old one was second hand and an early model.
It shot very well but the stock was the one without the adjustable cheekpiece and didnt really fit me properly.
I always regretted selling it though.
When I finally took the plunge and bought Davids it was like getting an old friend back, only a better friend with the adjustable cheekpiece and a spigotted thread for the
Sound Mod.
I also had the benefit of the loads I had developed for my old one. Strangely though I find my new one performs bets with SMK 180g bullets wheres my older one preferred 155g SMK.

Sounds like the two of you will be more than happy together!
You're making me want one even more now...

That particular AI worked incredibly well with 190 SMKs at 1200 yards.
I need to order a couple of AI/AE MkIIIs in for a job and delivery is currently sometime November, given AIs recent track record I have my fingers crossed for Christmas....

Must give some a try.
I was out shooting this morning. The gun shot a 10 shot 0.5 inch group at 100 yds.
I love it

sigh, I thought it wouldn't get like this, but I really miss my AW

What is a Sapper? This versatile genius condenses the whole system of military engineering and all that is useful and practical. He is a man of all work of the Army and the public ready to do anything or go anywhere, in short, he is a Sapper.

Told you so.....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

I thought I'll get my AWs' worth. I had mine since 1995 and still haven't got bored with it yet(told my missus that she'll have to go first, if I had to get rid of anything :shakeshout: ).
