Slow??? Took a variation for an extra rifle in on a Monday, grant came back following Monday. Seven days...............a lot quicker than it used to be.

Just to throw something into the mix, I read years ago that the most ranges/gunclubs are in Yorkshire, with the rest of the Northern counties having a fair few as well. Land is at a premium in the South....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Definitely not slow in my experience. Last variation took less than two weeks, which I was happy with.

Main problem with Hampshire is it's a bit like Essex used to be..........................................................in 1950 :run:

Are these guys no longer using it then?

Anyone have experience of the above?

Going back to holdings - what's Hants' typical allowance?

I've heard quite a few positive reports about Hampshire lately, last year they were attrocious with 1:1 variations taking months. But - it now seems that they have really sorted it out. Just shows it can be done.

Can anyone recommend a decent, broad-minded RFD in Hants or West Sussex who I can transfer my stuff to?

One who won't have an AR-related seizure... ;)
