How much do you get for a Kidney these days?

#1 Post by Demonic69 »

A local RFD has a Sommer & Ockenfuss (Ockenfuß) Griffrepetierer for sale, just shy of £2k, in .243.
Having done a bit of googling this is now my absolute favourite rifle in the legally allowed UK shooting world! Although a .308 would be nicer, maybe in wood too.
So, what body part do I need to sell to get 2 grand together?
Anyone won/owned/used one of these impressive rifles before?

Cheers

Sorry Dean, each to their own but that has got to be the ugliest things I have seen in a long time-if it was human you would put a bag over its head and never take it outside.

I'm a big fan of bull-pups and this one is a straight pull that is cocked via the pistol grip, with integral safety built into the back of the grip, only firing when the shooter has his/her hand on the grip.
To me it's technologically awesome, but I'm easily pleased :D
And yeah Meaty, it aint pretty, but would attract a lot of attention :D

Nothing novel about either features, the 1911 pistol as an example has grip safety as do some lever actions with the lever. The pistol cocking seems to be just a pump action variation.

Bullpups are certainly handy but if I wanted shortness then I'd go for a break barrel like the Handi Rifle or Mauser 66 if I wanted more ammunition capacity, now there is an innovative action.

Still if it floats your boat get one

Peter Lawman had one of these in .308 for years that he couldn't sell. I don't think it was as expensive as that either. But, I heard somewhere that he'd stopped trading
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
