I for one hate the idea of borrowing reamers, even from very good friends, I much prefer to buy my own as needed and then store them away ready for the next time. Same goes for head space gauges, however I do borrow action keys and lend mine out if I have one someone needs. Also I really do not mind if someone copies my action spanner whilst they have it in their hands.
Action keys can you post a picture of one do you need different ones for different actions. What would a action key look like for a Tikka m65. Do you make your own or do you buy them. How do you secure the barrel to allow the removal of the action.
I did a internet search I see how its done. I have a idea how to make a action wrench. The clamp to hold the barrel might take a bit of thinking about but I think it can be done just need a donor rifle to play with now. Hmmm.
And I thought you said your budget doesn't even stretch to ammo!
Purveyor of fine cast boolits.
All round good guy and VERY grumpy old man.

I reckon I can get the barrel vice made for free and I all ready have the bits to make the action wrench.
You are not capable of taking a rifle out of its action, laying it out on the floor with all its bits and pieces, taking a picture and posting it up here, you used to be up to that Dave. Going down hill fast there mate.

Go away in jerky movements. Now if you wanted to donate one of those old dodgy bangsticks you have hanging about all over the place in the name of education for me to learn on. Wink.Wink.
That bolt handle is only just going to clear the scope! I'd move it to the back, you lose the safety but you could easily retrofit one, or fit a Timney.
Hmmmm, we can see pros and cons in either action. The Mosin Nagant will feed without a doubt, but the action isn't as strong, nor the trigger as good as a P14. We think ultimately this might be a question for Ovenpaa to resolve if he agrees to take on the task.
