Thanks to the Dorset Riflemen.

#1 Post by paulbradley »

Had my first venture into F class territory today with the above named club. It was via this forum that I was able to talk to the guys in the first place. What a great bunch. We were made very welcome. Shooting in gales was an experience for sure. Looking forward to the next one with hopefully a bit less wind..

Me too...you can all foxtrot oscar, the lot of you :55:

Actually Kenny is right, like Sadam Hussein I have several body doubles that stand in with different moods.

Then again, I don't suppose many ROs threaten to Deck potential members if the don't stop apologizing!!

I will have a baseball bat in the van next time and a light bulb (my new best mate looks like Fester Adams!!!)

So when I am not eating Daffodils.....

Joking aside Paul, churn some of the plot sheets out and bring em with you (you can use A5, I just use A4 because my close up eyesight is crap these days. I need a scope that's marked in Braille).

I will learn you how to do a corrected plot for elevation and wind. I don't use it much during a shoot as if things are going well you dont get time to do everything, but its good to see how the rifle was actually doing and what the wind settings should have been.....

We are a friendly lot (most of us anyway) but we don't do too well in coaching or helping newbies, so its good to try and alleviate some of the feelings I had when I started.

It was nice to see Tim yesterday as well...he never writes...he never calls.... tesnews I thought he had won the reality TV show trip to mars clapclap
