6.5x55 is a great cal! Throws the heavy high bc bullets fast enough to be on the heels of the 6.5x284

Agreed, anything around the 140 grain mark will work exceedingly well. SMK's and Scenars are worth a look as they are quite cost effective and once batched can return some superb results.
