I had a small collection of de-acts until recently, sold off a 1929 SMLE and a Remington-Rand M1911A1, got a lot more for the 1911A1 than I paid for it (not hard as I got it for free) and the SMLE was around £100 more than I paid for it when I bought it around 6/7 years ago. Both would have gone for more if it weren't for the missing deact certificates, the 1911A1 didn't have one when I got it, the SMLE was leant to a friend for a display and he lost the damn thing.
I still however, possess a S&W Victory Model revolver, which wont be sold, that was a present from my Girlfriend from just after we found out she was pregnant. I also have a Lithgow Bren, this I've contemplated selling, I bough it for £300 at the same time as the SMLE, It came with the transit box, spare parts kit, spare barrel bag, sling, 3 extra mags (all in factory grease) and the rain cover. As an investment, it's done well, I reckon I could get around £600 for it at least as it is like new! Though I've though of selling it as it hasn't seen the light of day for nearly 4 years due to university I still have a plan of it moving into the new house as, well come on it's just F***ing cool
