Barton Road 19/04/2014 - Anyone going?

I am off to Barton Road tomorrow with the mighty Steyr and a pocketful of 170 Lockbase with some TR140 behind it, shooting in the spirit of S Class and a little bit of load development.

Is anyone else going or are you all stopping at home scoffing Easter eggs?

DTA configured in 300 Winmag for Saturday.

Will be extremely careful at the HME zero point, given that's where Bob drove his car into a tree at the adjacent parking point, last time out.

He did over a grand's worth of damage to the front end of his car. :(.

Bob had it repaired before the last Thetford date. I was making eyesight jokes etc, to him then noticed someone, yet unidentified, had scraped the rear quarter of my car. Must have happened when I was refuelling that morning.

would it be possible for me to turn up, i wont bring my gun as il save all the fun for sunday but it would be good to see how some other shoot ......plus i rarely get to see a AI and have never seen one shot

Jackmanuk, although we do not accept visitors my view is yes you can as you are a member of the VAA who have a licence to shoot at BR however I am not an RCO tomorrow so it would probably be good if a grown up confirmed this.

As an aside I have just loaded for the SSG however I can soon throw an AI and some 6,5x47 rounds in the car.

Dave, my understanding is the same as yours.

Tne Grove's range licence does not allow for guests, so you must be either a Grove member or a member of another club which holds a range licence for Barton Road. The. VAA is one such club, so it shouldn't be an issue.
