This morning on Short Siberia I was zeroing in the M14 (XM-21) @ 200 yds. My mate had his had his Chuck Mahwinney signed and test shot M40 with him.
Thought this made an interesting bit of gun porn.

Both very nice rifles, I would be pleased to own either.
How did they do at 200yards?

Looks like a Vortex on the bottom. They are a very good looking pair and I would certainly give them house room as well.

Hmmmm, because of the type of mount on it I'm thinking that top scope is a Leatherwood Camputer scope.

Bottom scope is a 3-9x40 red field (or should be?)
The bottom is/should be similar but on the ART mount which was a 'camming' mount for adjusting for range

I really covet one of those M40 replicas , I met chuck at the launch at Riflecraft who incidentally built the rifles , and he's a fascinating guy !

That scope looks like a 3x9 Leatherwood ART 2 scope, I used to have one of those when they made them in the US, they're now made in China and they're $h1t. There's been nothing but complaints about Chinese made ones falling to bits after a couple of months or so. I wish I had kept the one I had.

Funnily enough I was handling a lovely straightpull M14 during the week and really liked it.
Lovely rifle and probably my next cabinet queen if I ever get another.
