What a lovely little rifle - I've always fancied a .22 Hornet.

Cheers, it's a cracking rifle and I'm really impressed with the Hornet - got a hankering for a K-Hornet now!

Nice rifle Grant.

For thin case walled cartridge cases, get a Lee hand press. Just like a big set of nutcrackers! I use one when loading .25-20, .32-20 and .44-40. You get so much more "feel" than with a bench mounted press. I haven't destroyed a single case since I started using one!

Roger has some cast .22 bullets that he makes now and again, both gas checked and plain....

H4227 a favourite in it.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Thanks for the advice regarding the press, Simon. I haven't got any H4227, but most of a tub of Lil'gun to get me started. When I start reloading for it, I'll give Roger a shout and see what weight of .22 he has.
