Hold open magazine - no more guessing if it's empty or not.

Thanks Chuck. I have couple of Serbian ones but might try to pick up some Croatian ones when Claudia Schiffer finally invites me to her Dubrovnik gaff to rub solar cream on her back ...

Have a tracer round two rounds before empty :good:. I've got Yugo and Chinese BHO mags myself, the Chinese ones only need a subtle mod to the mag body to allow the follower to lift all the way to the top.Vast numbers of Chinese mags in the UK due to them coming in with all the Type56 deacs.Heres a pic of one of my Yugo BHO mag tops. One thing to remember with BHO mags is as soon as the mag is taken out the bolt carrier will slam forward so watch those fingers!.Some Saigas have an actual BHO device fitted but they aren't that common and I've never seen one on a UK Saiga.

The Saiga I have has a bolt hold-open device on it, just a small steel plate coming from the receiver on the inside of the trigger guard. Visible in this picture:

Not sure what model it is, I've been told it's an M4? But no idea

MK-04,by the looks it hasn't got a threaded muzzle for a muzzle brake to be fitted. Is the rear sight only marked out to 300m?.No threaded muzzle,a 300m rear sight and a BHO device usually points to a "sporting" Saiga (like the ones the Yanks buy and convert into an AK configuration) like this.

My AK100 series had a similar BHO lever.

My AK 103 has a manual BHO, same as the one on Olegs web site (in 'desert tactical' trim as he puts it :good: )

Thats surprised me i must admit as none of the four Saigas ive had have had one and I have three shooting buddies with Saigas and none of them have got one.I wonder if it depends on production date or something???.

Could be production date.......

I've had mine a few years now (could be around 5 or 6 ish) but can't exactly recall when I bought it

If I get a chance later I'll try to get a few photos if you're interested?
