Charlotte, I have an ACOG TA01NSN on an M4gery flat top and with military ammo it is near enough, as good as the ammo at least, at distances up to 600.
With all other ammo I use I have had to use trial and error (a jolly good zero session) to get the aiming points at various distances.

Arming the Country, one gun at a time.
Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.

Charlotte
The GGG ammo won't be a problem. It is STANAG 4172 compliant, i.e. it is NATO standard so the BDC should work with it (and yes, it is 62gn).
I use it all the time in my SCG Speedmaster, and my L98, it is really good ammo.
On the L98, with the LEI rail, I will be surprised if it is far out.

On that note... where can one buy 62gn or 147gn FMJ bullets?

GGG is 62gn, Bisley armoury has/had a tonne of the stuff last time I was down there. It's Lithuanian 5.56 with a NATO cross on the base of the cartridge.
The above post probably contains sarcasm or some other form of attempted wit, please don't take it to heart.

No I mean 'bullets' for reloading.

Mines a TA01 NSN-DOC (the fde one with the Docter optic red dot piggy backing it), ladder reticule but specifically meant for M4 to 600m, M249 to 900m, lens actually marked as such in the bottom, with 62 grain bullet. Only TA01 model with this ret as far as I'm aware.
I did have a TA11 Acog in the past with a 5.56 bdc, was meant for a 20" barrel. Regret selling that one as I loved the doughnut reticule, but was strapped for cash at the time. :(

Henry Krank do a 145 gn FMJ PPU bullet, which may be the closest you get to replicating the STANAG NATO load.SevenSixTwo wrote:On that note... where can one buy 62gn or 147gn FMJ bullets?

Thanks. I've since found a source for PPU 62gr PPU and S&B 147gr.
