Holts and RFD`s

#1 Post by mag41uk »

There is a rifle in the December auction that I am interested in.
I don't have a spare slot and wont have the time to get one.
Are there any RFDs here who have or can deal with Holts?
I am shortly going to be advertising some of my rifles to free up slots.
This is assuming I win the auction!
One thing I am uncertain about would be bidding for a sec 1 that I have no authority to hold?
Presumably an RFD could do this and it then becomes his stock?
Quite happy to pay fees etc.
Cheers,
Tony

Holts are quite happy for you to bid without a slot, but they do require your certificate to enter the firearm onto before they will send to your local rfd. They have been happy to hold onto guns for me until I have got a slot cleared. I now use another method which I will pm you.

I had planned to use your method of having my rfd bid but he needs to be happy to keep it on his register but of his books, otherwise he would have to charge you vat.

We have dealt with Holts in the past as an RFD so they have our details on record if you are stuck.
