A nice bit of history, but not something I'd spend that amount on. I can think of far better ways to invest £11k in terms of boomsticks.

All true DW58 albeit it is still cheaper than a DSR-1!

I must confess I've spent more than a few spare minutes over the last couple of weeks on Highwoods website looking at that, maybe I do need to start buying scratchcards/lottery tickets...

When did the price of these rifles become so disproportionate? For £11,000 I want case hardening, engraving and inlay at least.

I suppose it takes all sorts -

DL, guess this is a rare collectable first and a gun second.

Yep, but if I had it, I would spend the money on a DSR....

Can't say I would on an L42!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

To be honest, the L42A1 isn't even in great condition other than being fully kitted out - £11k is daylight robbery!
