Bisley 1100 yards

#1 Post by mag41uk »

You may know that the NRA have put on some targets at 1100 and 1200.
There are targets available at 1100 on March the 28th AM only.

Any one fancy it?

There are only about 3 people in my club capable! (not even sure I am tbh! )

I have already booked 1100 falling back to 1200 one Saturday in May that may have a couple of places.

Let me know.

Yeah I might be up for that. I've only gone out to 1,000 before so it will be a real test for me.

I'm tempted but I'm shooting 1,000 yards the following day and may not get permission from SWMBO for two consecutive days of fun.

I'm getting good results with 185gn Berger Juggernauts at 1,000 yards but never shot beyond that.

She's not that bad. I shoot most weekends and she's perfectly happy with that, but twice in one weekend is pushing it a bit.

Tempted, but I need to check if I can get enough elevation on my Sightron, and find something a bit heavier than the 155 RWS from the range office. ENS told me of a 190 load, but I still haven't got organised to hand load, so need to find something "off the shelf".
Careful now/that sort of thing

175gr GGG shoot well, they should get you to 1100 with a sightron, unless it's a 10-50

155 RWS from the range WILL shoot out to 1100 yds without any problem.

Try NRA Range office, they will likely have some HPS 190gn

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

Not recently, keep checking but they've not had any. That would be ideal if I could get it.
