I think the object of the task was to do it for free!
I did the same to mine, but less filing.
I have some spare springs as min order was five!

Spot on there Mark, The object was to improve what I'd got rather than just replace it.I actually removed very little metal it was more a case of tidying and polishing.I enjoy doing things like this and seeing a significant improvement at the end.

Thanks to the generosity of bigfathairybiker I've now got trigger return springs on the 91/30 and the M44 and they feel much improved without all the slopping about.

I know purists might dislike it but Timney do a drop in trigger kit for the Mosin Nagant:
