The Mac 10 was a issue item. My civvi armourer was taught it as part of his basic course in the 80's.

As to the armoury of lots of.weapons, yes. However. 'them' get issued what they're told to these days. With variation according to role.

Ah the old SLR, I just loved that rifle. Bottom picture looks like the guys are heading out on rural patrol if it's NI. That takes me back.
