Proposed Scope
I am new to shooting but will be shooting out to a 1000 yards at Bisley and was looking at the following scope:

Anyone got any opinions on it?
Regards,
Paul

Re: Proposed Scope
I know people on £12,000 a year that have saved up for a £3,000 rifle.
Let's not cast aspursions.

Re: Proposed Scope
Fantastic scope, highly recommended along with the guys at optics warehouse
I use one with the FCR 1 ret, great glass, well built and perfect for 1000yds (although I'm sure others will be along with other opinions
)
You'll see many of these on the line at any F Class comp and for very good reason!
Don't forget your 20moa mount though as this will be needed for long range

Re: Proposed Scope
Hi any Nightforce is a great scope but take a look at Vortex scopes too good value and a stonkin scope.
Re: Proposed Scope
From what i have been told its better to spend out the £££ on quality glass but yes I realize its a lot of money!
Thanks Matt for the assurance, from the reviews I read on it the scope came across well but always good to get someones views on it that has seen it!
(Did know about the 20moa mount as Optics Warehouse mention it :))

Re: Proposed Scope
I'd get one of Foxfirearms 10-40 x 50 Foxfire's for around £150 and use that until I knew what I was doing.
You really don't need to spend a kings ransom on a scope for target shooting.
