Not now after the Orlando shootings
8-)

AKA Hungerford and Dunblane Syndrom.

Why?? What has that to do with you or anyone else on here - or million of law abiding gun owners in the USA for that matter.
it was a terrorist act by someone known to the FBI at the end of the day, no matter how Obama wants to spin it otherwise!

Worst thing we can do is hide away again because of this, it has to be made clear that this was pure terrorism and that guns are made to fire bullets, NOT kill people!

Banning all firearms as the antinuts would like would be mass / collective punishment, somehow the UN seem to be on to that matter with Israel right now.

Nail on the head mate, watching RT new station last night, the media have declared war on the AR-15 the amount of crap spouted about the AR-15 is ridiculous ! He could of used a bolt action rifle with 20 round detachable mag to the same effect !

What did he need the gun for?
Google the Happy Land Club arson attack.
87 killed....not a gun in sight

Was the Orlando venue one of the popular "Gun Free Zones"?
If so then zero chance of an armed response from any of the victims.
One or two similar attacks have been stopped by armed citizens: next to zero media coverage though, they prefer things to get messy so they can blame the tool instead.

All clubs and many bars are gun free zones.

4FS, a few chains and padlocks on the exit doors, some flammable liquid (the place full of alcohol) and powder in the air and he could have killed them ALL.

The AR is blameless - except to the liberal anti gun loonies who see fear and hate in everything they do not like - but hey, they know best eh!? The club owner and club security have LOTS of questions to answer, as do the FBI for not flagging this nutter on the gun buyer check system!

A shotgun or handgun would have given the same results in a hall full of unarmed and defenceless people! In typical liberal loony and agenda driving media style the attention is quickly moved away from the REAL problem i.e. a radicalised nutter from a family with ISLAMIST terrorist sympathies and on to something else, namely an inanimate object / modern sporting rifle

PATHETIC but once again - VERY CONVENIENT given "Gun Ban Clinton" has been cleverly earmarked for the next POTUS!

This has absolutely NIET to do with CCW, sports shooting, hunting the 2nd Amendment, guns in circulation or the NRA etc - just a gay hating Islamist terrorist criminal that the US liberals continually want to import wholsale.

If anyone is to blame,THEY ARE - not a piece of plastic and alloy!

Washington Post hysterical drivel - as usual.

Correct, it's not just the Washington post most of media are up on arms on the evil rifle etc yet they demand we take in more and more so called refugees in !
the media never usually report about joe public saving lives with their ccw firearms as it goes against their agenda - only the amazing state can be trusted with arms - ask most Brits about ccw they would think you are crazy blood on the streets etc why because they believe the media crap
As for the off duty plod moonlighting as security unless he was ambushed did he not attempt to engage the shooter in the club ? The story I've read that he only exchanged fire when the terrorist came out the front or something

Not so sure about that - being as it was an act of terrorism more than a nutjob wanting to seek revenge for some imagined issue.

One of my main hobbies is the sport of target shooting. Every week up and down the country, thousands of my fellow sportsmen and sportswomen compete in competitions. We do not need riot police to keep us in order.
Recently, I spent a nice weekend at Bisley for The Phoenix Meeting - a few days of shooting attracting hundreds of people.

And each night, alcohol was consumed. None of us felt the need to smash up the bars we were drinking in.

In July, the same venue hosts The Imperial Meeting. Again, hundreds and probably thousands will visit over the course of this series of competitions. Again, each evening the competitors will have a few drinks in the bars - and no riots will break out. In fact there will not even be a Police presence required !

Compare that to the football "fans" drinking in Marseilles over the past few days.

How many people have been battered and stabbed in football hooliganism over the years ? How many millions of pounds worth of damage has been caused ? Yet - in the UK, shooters are looked upon with distrust and treated as potential criminals !

Share this if you are proud to be part of a sport with participants who are without a doubt, the group in the UK with the the best record of decent behaviour.

Please go to facebook - user "Brian Mc" and share. Would be nice to see this go viral and show the public just how peaceful our sport is !
I didn't share it because of the highlighted sentence.
Not sure I see your reasoning Andy ?

And while most reasonable people see us as sportspeople - MANY do not trust us, MANY view us as potential criminals. Recent legislation pretty much demonstrates that.

Just the wording, no need to portray a negative image.

The media are in overdrive turning this from a terrorist attack to something else - the liars and informationally challenged are having a field day - as will be the White House photo shoot team lining up some poor souls to be abused by the WEPOTUS for political gain.

Liberals will always shift the blame fromwherev it belongs - they will never admit they got it wrong in their utopian world. In this case the blame is being shifted AS USUAL from the sick criminal to the innocent law abiding. The fact that liberals want to see ALL law abiding gun owners punished and disadvantaged shows just how sick in the head they really are!

If the guard did hold back I wonder what he's thinking now....same with the directors of G4S who apparently the murderer worked for.
