Drop your bolts off to a friendly local RFD? We have had people do this with us in the past.

No as I couldn't be bothered with the hassle from customs. Disable all of the guns (remove bolts etc) and store those in separate safes. Don't be tempted to give your keys to someone else as they'll then have access to firearms they're not authorized for.

At the end of the day if someone gets into your house undetected and they have all the time in the world to work on your cabinet, they're going to get in. 5 minutes with an angle grinder will defeat most 2-3mm walled cabinets. Safes are a different matter of course and would require actual skill to get into.

Why would any one want to go abroad its full of foreigners
Cos they have more & better guns than we do O:-)

My UK's guns live in my club's safe, so, everytime I go to the club, it's like a mini holliday O:-)

Alarm on > lock doors > go

Alarm triggered > phone rings > check CCTV

Never happened yet ...

Mine stay locked up in the safe. alarm on, and indoor cctv set to send me a email if movement triggers it.

I would say that if you are an active social media user, who posts a lot about your shooting hobby and upcoming holiday, then I would consider lodging them at an RFD.
