So not only did he make that distance, he'd cranked the scope down to only 3.7x magnification :o Must remember to stop making excuses because of my ACOG's 'only' 4x mag!

I'm trying to imagine the view from the 1000yrd marker on Stickledown at Bisley and where 4380 target would be. Struggling to even imagine it.

And he got it on the target quicker than I've seen some at 600 yards!

The two main runways at Heathrow are 3902m and 3658m long, Gatwick 3407/3311m and Frankfurt has three at 4000m - that should help visualise it as 4380 yards is 4005 metres.

Over that distance -if you assume the earth is a perfect sphere, the ground will rise by just over 300mm at the mid point.

And quicker than one guy I shot next to at 100 yards on Stickledown :o . Brand new rifle and scope. Bang - where did that go? Bang - where did that go? etc.

A stable shot at nearly 2.5 miles, that's amazing.
