Anyone used these boresighters?

I'm tempted to buy a couple but being "high quality" chinese items I'm concerned the laser diodes will have been thrown in the cases and will not be straight down the bore from the chamber thus useless.
Has anyone used these? any good? crap?

I have one for my .303 which I'd forgotten all about till I saw your post! I've just got it out to have a look and it's not bad at all, in fact I think I'll get one for my .308 as well.

I take it you used it with good results, ie: it was accurate?

I couldn't in all honesty say that for the simple reason I'd fogotten I'd got it and I don't shoot my .303's very often. I tried it out at 15 yards in my garden just to confirm windage but never tried it at real distances. It feels like a nice bit of kit though, and I wouldn't hesitate to get another given what they cost.

I think you take your chances with the cheap Chinese ones. The only way to tell if it is going to be accurate is to roll it over a flat surface an check the laser dot remains steady. The one I bought was all over the place and the adjustment screws were glued in so it couldn't be corrected.
I got my money refunded though.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!

I bought one of the .308 ones, and though it strange that instead of a beam coming out of the barrel, I just got a load of glare.

When i put the bore sighter in a V-block and rolled it, the beam drew a 2 inch circle on the wall.... 18 inches away 5mith

Its gone in a drawer, never to be used again.

I thought this might be the case especially at a fiver including postage from China.

Same experience from me. The laser is visibly off set which wouldn't be a problem If the screws to adjust it weren't done up so tight they seem to be cold welded!!!

I've had two of them, .308 & 303.
Found them very useful for a pre zero, in fact when I got to the zero range at Bisley the job had been done by the boresight.

NB, quality may vary between samples........
