Covert/Discreet Gun Bag Recommendations

#1 Post by Sc1985uk »

Hi

I am looking for a Covert/Discreet Gun Bag so I can take my rifle to the club on public transport, I have come across some UTG ones on Amazon but the prices they are asking for them are too steep for my liking.

All I am after is something that someone can look at and not automatically think gun bag, as is the case with many of the bags on the market.

Ideally I would like something that can hold two rifles and is not going to break the bank, looking at £60 tops for anything up 42"

If anyone knows of any bags that fit the description it would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Something like these aren't obvious. We might know what they are, but the average punter certainly wouldn't.

yup, buy one of them then stick a fender / gibson et al sticker on it, job done. If you really want that extra bit of camo on it, stick an amp lead in one of the pockets with the end hanging out.

Maxpedition discreet covert is really good, carries 2 x AR-15 type rifles with ease, hard wearing and neighbours think I play keyboard in an 80s inspired jazz fusion band.

I've had mine 4 years, seems they've gone up in price... https://www.heinnie.com/maxpedition-dis ... un-case-42

Some of the dragbag types look like the ones Carp fishermen use and if you have something like an AK/Vz/AR with a folding or collapsible stock you can get a couple plus mags in one of those padded tennis racket cases from Wilson or Adidas etc.

Hard guitar cases can be a tricky fit for scoped rifle- ask me how I know!

There is a company in the US that makes "suit bags" that hold two ARs but length limited and probably not very easy to carry without giving away that there is something else in it.

The long, rectangular bags/cases are probably best bet, with Music/instrument-related stickers or patches applied liberally!
