What are people using on long 30 inch barrelled jobbies?

I use a range of rectangular fabric rifle bags I have from my airsoft days, the only one that will fit my Marlin X7VH in is a viper double gun bag (only decent thing made by viper...) which has an extended cloth section for the barrel to poke out the top of the bag whilst still being covered.

I'm in the same boat with my stupidly long CZ452, only bag other than the viper one that my CZ will fit into is a woodland camo padded rifle slip. Not something I want some of my delightful neighbours to see...

With the black rectangular bags, they seem obvious what they are containing to me. However that may be because I've spent years both airsofting and on shooting ranges surrounded by them with guns in. Will your typical city scrote know that? I honestly don't know.

Most folks seem to be screengazing sociala media nowdays, if you carried it slung over your shoulder with no case they'd probably never notice it. ;)

The trouble is if you walk into a bar you might get shot to s*** by a gang of mexicans.
None of them can hit anything however so just wear ear defenders and you'll be ok. bangbang

I think if you want to see ppl looking at you funny you'll see it. Airsoft mates say about funny looks when wearing camo trousers etc before games. I used to live in 95 yrousers and never saw an odd look

I picked up a bag years ago in a German sports shop. Dark blue / orange, shoulder strap and central zip. I think it was designed for a Skateboard..... it was perfect for when I had a Brno 581 rifle as I could just take the barrelled action out of the stock and have a short, compact package..... Also worked for a LBR / LBP

I bought one of these recently;

Fairly discreet unless you recognize the black/grey Black Hawk logo, and on the plus side its easy to strap everything down inside so its not moving about, which is the major disadvantage of the guitar/sports bags.
