Pro shot spear point on a Parker Hale coated rod.........or Russian military jag, cleaning rod and muzzle protector from whichever rifle I'm shooting if needs must.

Re: What jags do you chaps use?
Slightly OT now, I ordered a load more jags yesterday for the workshop and this time I am also going to try Pro-Shot shotgun brushes and mops for .410, 20 Bore and 12 Bore. The shotgun items use a different thread however there is an adapter to rifle rod threads so I am going to test them with a short 50cal sized rod I use.
My opinion is you can never have too many cleaning rods, jags and brushes and I have my rods virtually permanently set up by calibre however I use a more limited selection of patches and find that a 30cal square patch covers several different calibres simply based on where you stab the spear point through the patch. Through the middle for 30cal, offset for .284 and .270 etc. I never use round patches these days.
